I am honored and delighted to have my mother in law (well technically my step mother in law) on the show to discuss her sobriety journey in an industry that is known for the overindulgence of drugs and alcohol. Sigute is an immigrant from Lithuania who has broke the norm of ageism and naysayers who tell women especially, that they are past their prime or that it is too late for any type of success in the acting world and or the athletic world. She speaks of her me too experience early on in her acting career as well as her transition into sobriety later in her career and how it felt almost terrifying not to have the crutch of alcohol to lean on, yet it was then that she truly gained the confidence from the help of a fellow actress and mentor to finally see her
worth. Sigute breaks through the glass ceiling by winning numerous awards for acting, writing, producing and even swimming in the California Senior Olympics winning the bragging rights of being a silver and gold medalist as well as earning a spot on the United States Master’s Swimming Team! Sigute gives us a goosebumps causing teaser from the show she wrote, produced and performed in, titled Tragic Magic. Tragic Magic has made some noise, making an appearance on Broadway, Chicago and back in Los Angles for it’s 3rd encore run in February.
